Every couture wedding dress begins with a spark of inspiration. I listen to my bride as she shares her dreams with me: her story, her hopes, her vision. She might want boho vibes or vintage elegance, a particular silhouette, a style or simply a feeling. Each handmade gown is a reflection of a bride’s personality, and together we transform these ideas into a dress that is uniquely hers. Read on as I take you behind the seams of one such piece, from the first sketch to the final creation.
From Vision to Form
For this piece, which I call Silvanna, I envision a romantic structure with soft volume and delicate Chantilly lace. I start with a drawing and a curated selection of silks, laces and fabrics to create a mood board.
From there, I create a pattern drafted to the individual measurements of my bride. I create a ‘toile’ (a mock-up of the dress) in a simple calico fabric (plain cotton) that allows me to sculpt the shape directly on the mannequin. This stage is where the magic begins as pins, folds and fabric come together to form the skeleton of the design.

Crafting the Details
The fitting with my bride allows me to see how the fabric drapes and moves so I can adapt, refine and perfect the shape. Once the silhouette feels right, I begin the final piece. Using gathered silk georgette (a sheer crêpe fabric) and Chantilly lace, I create soft ruffles and hand-stitched floral motifs before moving on to the trim and detailing. These are the moments that define the soul of the garment, elevating it from beautiful to unforgettable.
I want the wow factor for my bride, for her to feel like she has the perfect dress for her special day.

The hidden secret within
While the exterior of the finish of Silvanna is delicate, its true strength lies inside: a hidden internal corset, complete with 12 steel bones and a multi-row of hooks-and-eyes. This is a dress with a foundation synonymous with couture techniques, ensuring structure, support and the perfect fit.
The Finale
After many hours of careful sewing, hand stitching and refinement, the gown comes to life. Seeing it worn is the most rewarding part of the process. The bride is radiant and the dress drapes perfectly, effortlessly floating in the breeze. It’s not just a dress; it’s a story woven in silk and lace.
With her jewellery, flowers, faux fur cape and headpiece, the whole look becomes a work of art that feels timeless, perfectly in tune and confirming every choice made along the way.
A note from the Atelier
Couture is slow fashion. It’s intentional, personal and unique. Every stitch is placed with care, and every fabric and detail is chosen with purpose. I design and make each pattern myself and every garment is sewn in my studio with the help of my dedicated team of artists, using only high-end materials that honour the art of dressmaking. Silvanna is just one chapter in a growing collection of bespoke creations, each with its own heartbeat and story waiting to be worn.
